Is this very common? What are they using instead of silver? I picked up silver over the last couple of years in trade from the sports card forums. Is there a good possiblity I could have gotten one of these?

Yes. You could have bought one a few weeks, months or years ago on the secondary market, from corrupt sellers.

All manufacturers of legitimate silver and gold bullion, and coins world-wide are being copied by Far-East counterfeiters.

It is common, China has produced hundreds of thousands of counterfeit silver and gold bars and coins, polluting U.S. economy. All made of ferrous metals.

It will always happen on ebay and other sites, some CCF members police the sites for counterfeits.

Problem, in the days and years to come, investors, buyers, will never know until its time to cash out.

Thanks so much for the reply! I did plenty of reading and I'm pretty caught up to speed, at least for these particular ones. Problem now is I can't get to my secured stash until Tuesday. Thanks again for the info.

Thanks again for the info. I was able to get to my stash. I only had 2 Silvertownes and they both looked fine. Out of all the examples the easiest one to see is the corner radius and I'm happy mine were okay. Thanks again.
