I live in a decent-sized city, with a combo jeweler/coin dealer, the only game in town. There are no cash-for-gold joints within a 50 mile radius. The couple of pawn shops here will not deal with PM's in coin or bullion form because of PM's up and down price swings. The jeweler has cornered the market locally.

Sounds like a business opportunity to me, fist. Why not start advertising on CL to buy silver for .60-.70 on the dollar and be the highest local bidder?

I called Louisville Numismatic Coin shop this morning and they quoted me great prices for both, American Silver Eagles and American Gold Eagles.

I was driving in my truck when I called but I think he was a dollar over spot on the silver eagles and was at spot on the gold eagles. I was impressed.

I don't know how to quote another poster on this site. That said, "what do you plan to do with the money?" Is probably the most important question I would ask myself.

I have no plans on selling my bullion

To answer Dan52's question... there's a search tab at the top left of this page... can answer many of your questions.. but to quote someone type

[ q you o t e ] -copy and paste the quote- [ / q you o t e ]
