I was digging through a dozen rolls of quarters last night and found a 1976S quarter. It's a proof, but is it a silver proof? I'm guessing yes because of the distinctive tarnish it has on it, and it has a lot!
But is there any way to tell for certain? Does it weight differently from the clad proof?

In 1976 there were the regular proof and the silver proof. You can tell if its silver if the reeds are white.
