I was digging through a dozen rolls of quarters last night and found a 1976S quarter. It's a proof, but is it a silver proof? I'm guessing yes because of the distinctive tarnish it has on it, and it has a lot! But is there any way to tell for certain? Does it weight differently from the clad proof?
They do have a different weight from the Cu Ni Modern quarters Silver issues will weigh in at 6.25 Grams their clad counter parts weigh in at 5.67 grams
