I'd rather have these than the fake PCGS graded ones. The 25 cent basement slabs. At least
1: the face value is easy to exchange because they're rolled not individual
2: they're not 100% as fake seeming
3: no PVC plastic
4: no overgrading (I think)
5: easier storage and care since they're rolled.

But, they're essentially the same in the sense that they're both exorbiantely overpriced.

Kinda reminds of the antique store I went to down the road from me... Some vendor was selling common junk Walkers for $100 apiece... I told the guy running it that he sure is proud of his coins and he said he sells quite a few...

I have a marvelous idea. Let's dump our 2016 nickels to these guys. Then they will sell them as "Rare 2016 Key Date Error L@@K" and some fools with more money than brains will buy them.

Remember, P. T. Barnum has never been proven wrong. There may be a shortage of stories but there will certainly never be a shortage of idiots who will believe them. And when their children and grandchildren need money for a flat screen TV or an Xbox or whatever the case may be and try to sell these coins that they got from EBTH, Mike Mezack, or Centsles 15-20 years ago, only to find them dismissed as "garbage", they don't collect coins afterwards. And that's sad.

I know what you mean Coinfrog... If I could get that much for my coins I would take everything I own out there and pay off my mortgage and be able to retire at 50!...

My jaw dropped when I saw his prices for his junk silver!

Crazy pricing seems to be fairly common in our hobby. The general public truly doesn't realize how affordable and not rare some older coins are if you know where to look.

Was a thrift store a few days ago and saw some coins in their display case ..... thought it was really cool, hadn't seen anything numismatic at a thrift store before, until I saw the prices!

Regular circulated Susan B Anthony dollar (asking $15)
1988 Proof Set (asking $40)
Wheat Cents (asking $1 each)
Regular circulated State Quarters (asking $1 each)

I actually was able to get a large number of these boxes shown in the auction linked here, I got them for face value at the bank I worked at back in like 2009. I tried to sell them by the box on ebay numerous times, no one wanted them. I think I was finally able to sell a couple rolls for a very minor premium after shipping and fees. I eventually gave up, kept a roll or two for myself, and dumped the rest in a coin counting machine.
