Did I just find my 1st doubling on a LMC?

Part of the date looks slightly doubled, and the MM looks like it is doubled as well.

I know coin is in bad condition, but if it is a double MM like I think it is, it would be my 1st one and keeper for me.

What do you think?

As always all opinions welcome.

Thanks again...Mont.

Sorry,no. What that is is MD...machine doubling. A doubled mint mark is known as an RPM.

MD. Note how the so called doubling reduces the size of the devices and is shelf like. Also, until 1990, Mintmarks were hand punched into the die so normally you won't see a doubled mintmark and date unless that die also has a Repunched mintmark along with the doubled die.
