Hi I have the following kew gardens 50p but it seems to have an error there seems to be an extra leaf on the bottom right side stem. I have check this coin against a kew garden 50p held by a colleague and images of the coin on Internet they also don't have this extra leaf.
I think this is indeed an error, probably caused by die wear (maybe a die chip?) if I had to guess. I think it's mere coincidence that it looks like an extra leaf, though.
This is just my opinion based on what I observe, others may have different views on it.
Thank you for the replies so far I have attached photos of the front and back of the coin it doesn't look like a fake. I have compared it to another kew garden coin and it looks the same as that.
There seems to be another die clash on top left stem as well.
