ebay has been a learning experience for me, and I have very often backed out of an auction if I couldn't tell if the other bidders saw something I didn't, or if I was bidding against a shill.

Now that my knowledge is bigger and better, I want to go view auctions I lost, back in March or November or September, just to see whether a snap decision was a good or bad one. Is that possible? I know that ebay holds on to listings for a long time, but pictures eventually get deleted. I can still see a listing (with pics) of the first thing my wife ever bought on our account, way back in 2014. It has to be there somewhere, right?

I think they only go back 3 months or so. I find a better place for older sold auctions is Heritage. They go back more than 10 years, and have more sales.

As edweather says, the Heritage archives (complete with photos and listing descriptions)) are just staggering.
