Lol ok so in the first pic other numbers are scratched out, when I said mine has "j" and "9" I meant that that is how it was made not people scratched out the darn date, *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. *** you think your smart and I appreciate the advice, but you need to do more research I assure you, I was just trying to get an opinion, I've already done plenty of research including the books, have a good day sir.

As said, and I DO know my German coins and I AM fluent in German: date errors on coins were EXTREMELY common in the period just after the War. Parts of the date or even the whole date gone missing, it was not uncommon. As such, the value of such coins is, in Germany, not high. 10€, I stick with my earlier conclusion, also because millions and millions of J coins have been struck.
So, you ask us for an opinion, you get one and then get angry because it's not what you want to hear. Oh well. Good luck on getting this one sold at 'at least $750'. I pity the fool who actually pays that much. Good day to you, too.
ps. If you want to be so smart, it's 'you're smart', not 'your smart'.

Beefy, a negative attitude is not going to get you far on this forum. People here are more than willing to help. You asked a question and it was answered. You will get more help by being respectful, if you can't be your more than welcome to go someplace else. Consider this your one and only warning.

Quote: you think your smart Quote: I never said one bad thing to him Okay, go up to your boss and say that, see if he would consider that to not be a bad thing. Quote: On a coin forum, dude please yall wanna team up on me because I stated facts and voiced my opinion Quote: Maybe I want a different opinion If you want to be able to voice your opinions you should not be belittling others' opinions, ESPECIALLY when you ask for opinions.

One last attempt. Here's the overview of the most valuable modern German coins, as given by sammler.com. Those guys have been around for 20 years and know what they're talking about. It's in German, but Google Translate does a proper job. As you can see, a Bank Deutsche Lander coin with a partially or wholly missing date is NOT on this list. Only a 1949 J with 'Bundesrepublik Deutschland' instead of 'Bank Deutsche Lander' would be worth a fortune. http://www.sammler.com/mz/die-wertv...pfennige.htm

I don't see where anyone has teamed up against you. And I can assure you as a moderator I have no favoritism towards any member. I am sorry if you felt that way. You asked a question and several members answered your question with honest and knowledgeable answers. You weren't satisfied with their answers and your replies were less than civil. It is one thing to disagree, but another to be rude in doing so. And you my friend walked on that that line. A civil and honest debate is welcomed here. This is a family friendly forum with many expert collectors with years of experience willing to help. A degree of respect should be afforded them, in turn they will be respectful to you also.
