Here's the link to the features of the revised MC program. http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/custo....V7RtOHjOerUIt indicates you'll get your rewards at the end of the current program year (June, 2017) but doesn't mention free gifts. While I'm only guessing, it's doubtful RCM would offer Rewards for last year's purchases even though it's what qualifies toward this year's program level. On that topic, I'm a member of a dealers reward program that is more suitable for me because of the variety of products and I so buy not too much from RCM. However I notice RCM appears to have forgotten to reset my spending purchases from the last program year so I just happen to already be 3/4ers of the way toward a MC level....I'm assuming that's not accidental. LOL!

I was a master club member from July 1st, 2015 to July 1st 2016. Does this mean I'm not getting anything from the mint?

I'm not sure what you expected to get that you didn't already?

I got a wooden box for being a masters club member from 2014-2015 but haven't got anything since then. The June 27 email says: "For your participation in Masters Club Platinum during the 2015-16 Program Year, you will be rewarded in August with a beautifully crafted Royal Canadian Mint wooden collector case. As of July 1, 2016, you will earn 1.0% in Masters Club Rewards on every Eligible RCM Product** and you will receive a Masters Club Rewards redemption code***, redeemable for Eligible RCM Products." I haven't heard anything since.

This is my "debbie downer" grip about RCM. Their strategies to entice people to spend money are excellent but they are absolutely horrible on customer service. Virtually every other company that offers a loyalty program that rewards their best clients also provides a special phone number, email or link to answer questions or resolve problems in order to keep the highest spenders happy (and buying). if I were a MC client, I'd be putting these types of questions to RCM because it's there program, the responsibility lies with them to keep you properly informed.

I do have a special number to call to ask questions. The number is a direct line to my rep. I suppose I should just call him and ask.

Now I just got an email saying that the June 27 email was in error and instead I would be receiving a masters club rewards redemption code for the purchases I've made July 2015- July 2016. So basically I get a $20 credit instead of a really nice box? That sucks. This loyalty program is not helping me stay a customer.

I got the same email and I am disappointed. when the 2015 to 2016 year started we were getting cases if you were a platinum member now they change it stating "because you already received a case earlier you will get bluh bluh" that case was for being a loyal customer from 2014 to 2015 or so I thought. using that logic I already paid taxes on my 2016 specimen set therefore I should not have to pay taxes on the 2017 one. And if I did care about the points system on eligible purchases should we not have known what is elegable in July 2015? not at the end of the year. I'm sure somewhere it stated "subject to change without notice" this is frustrating and changes my opinion of the mint and their customer service. change it for 2016 to 2017 fine no problem but alteast honor the previous program.
I use to wonder why I would read about people letting their master club status go and I thought free shipping is worth it but my post office has most of the coins I collect so maybe its time for me to join the non masters club club, I'll have to think hard about it before I place my next order and take a trip to the post office
sorry end of rant.

You are not the only one. This is a slap in the face to the loyal customers.

I told you all long ago that the Mint is a bloated enterprise with little or no focus. I'm sure they priced out the cost of the boxes and realized it would be cheaper to lose the customers than buy and distribute the boxes.

I read all the fine print regarding mc program. They pretty much say they can change the program at any time with no reason or notice. They could end it tomorrow if they so choose. I wish my job had that kind of fine print.
