In your opinion, what are the best catalogues for Chinese coins ( in Chinese or English language).
Of course, we don't talk here about the Krause.
I am asking for catalogues showing all coins for a determinated period or for determinated places ( provinces...)

Thank you

NB: The most important for me is not to have prices catalogues, but COMPLETE catalogues for a place or a period, with variety if existing.
It can be written ibn Chinese or in English or in any other language.

For the more modern pieces Krause is probably still the most useful. For the older cash issues the standard is now Hartill. The Jen book published by Krause isn't very good and all the other specialty books on the cash coins are way old.

Kaji - "Cast Chinese Coins" by David Hartill is the very best! I have been collecting Chinese cash coins casually for about 10 years. I have a copies of old standard reference guides which were quite helpful but often incomplete. David Hartill's work is much more detailed. There are clear illustrations and precise descriptions to help not only identify each coin but also to distinguish between variations. The book is a little expensive but well worth it!

You will find information on the Chinese Junk dollar at this link:-
