I've got some GSA dollars I need graded, four to be specific. I see where NGC has a entry level price of $39 and then one they term the most popular, for $149. With such a price gap, which one should I buy and why

With the $149 membership you get a $150 grading credit. If you use it, it makes the membership free. They must count on a percentage of new members either not using the credit or only using part of it.

Or you can join the ANA for $28, request a free NGC submitter # and have the $39 membership plus $11.

Assuming the cost to grade a coin is $25 exactly and no shipping, you'd be able to grade 6 coins with that $150 credit.

I can't imagine not wanting the $150 credit if I had more than a couple of coins to slab.

I'm putting together an economy morgan submission to drop off at the NGC table at Long Beach if you'd like to tag in on it with your GSA's TMC.

Unless you really want to get your own acct and start submitting yourself that is. Just an offer. Pm me if you like

If you do want your own account I suggest either getting an ANA membersip for $30 +/- because you can submit to NGC as a member of the ANA, two birds mentality OR the $149 tier as you get all that $149 back in NGC "money"

Be warned though that new submitters can get very confused the first time or two submitting until you get familiar with the rules and how to fill out submission forms etc.

Thanks guys!! Thank you, Cascade, for the offer but I think I'll just get the ANA membership. It sounds like a good deal.

Sounds good. With the ANA membership though there is an extra step. After you join the ANA call NGC customer service and tell them you just joined the ANA and what the steps are to submit to them. If I remember correctly they have to send you a form by email and you have to send it back then they set you up with an ANA submitters account. Welcome to the TPG jungle
