I know Roman denarii and antoninianii but I'm not well acquainted with non-silver denominations.

What I see on this coin matches what I'm finding on the Internet. But I don't trust the Internet (I know... I'm just being paranoid...)

Certainly does look more like bronze disease than verdigris to me. So you don't have the coin in hand, correct? If the green stuff is powdery, it's likely bronze disease. Also, typically with bronze disease the green spots will each be sitting in a pit. The green stuff is essentially the residue from the corrosive action that ate away that pit.

It certainly looks like it, yes (99% certain). A search on here for 'Bronze Disease' will give you info on how to treat it if you own it and if it's a potential purchase either steer clear or negotiate a price accordingly if you really want it and know you need to treat it if and when you buy!

The spots are Bronze Disease and need t be treated before it causes more damage. Here is an interesting PDF that will explain it and how to treat it.

Yes. Save that coin from further damage.
