50c Corners Not Matching?

I'm not really sure of the terminology to describe this. I'll attempt to attach a picture.

It seems that the point of the corner inside the rim is offset to the corner on the outside of the coin.

I'd love to hear about the process of how that could happen.

I've seen this before, but I don't know what causes it. I would have asked the same question myself, had I not been distracted by Woollies and the RBA.

The die is slightly rotated with respect to the collar.
I think it is sufficiently within tolerance not be be an error.
Nevertheless interesting, and may be a little scarce.

A keeper, which should be in a 2x2, appropriately noted.
