Gee Chris this is a hard one. I'm not 100% sure but based on the style of the robes I think it could be John III Ducas-Vatatzes 1222-1254 from the Empire of Nicaea. Sorry I can't be more sure.

ok, thanks ski...i'll look in that direction. that would be awesome if that was what this coin was. I really want a coin from nicaea, but usually they are expensive. I got this in a junk lot, paid about 2 bucks for it.
