The weight seems to be ok. what about the diameter?
I dislike the bad details of the flower, but I am not a specialist. Did you compare it with a NGC specimen?

Hi, this is a Kashgar/Kashi/#21888;#20160; 5 Miscal or 5 Mace struck in silver. It was minted in AH 1321 or 1903. The legend says KA ZAO rather than KA SHI, which defines two general types of the later issue Kashgar silver Miscals. These are wholly defined by a lack of dragon and standard Chinese obverse and Arabic reverse, flanked by a wreath.

Genuine Sinkiang 5 miscals silver coins were poorly made.

In this sort of circumstance, the coin under question such as pictured, one has to ask:-
Does the sort of poor manufacture of the coin in question visually match that of a genuine coin?
(It must be remembered here that we only have a visual reference upon which a judgement can be made).

In my opinion, the visual characteristics of poor manufacture of a genuine match those of the coin pictured in this thread.

In short: Genuine.

This is a genuine piece. I concur with Sel_691. They were rather crudely made, with indigenous water presses and that their weight of force was rather weak, for these Chinese/Arabic issues. This piece overall is common.

I also believe that there are some test cuts in this issue.
