they have distinct cartwheel lustre which the images do not show, neither of them have been cleaned - anyway to get rid of the unsightly sploches?

Yep the Wide AM on these is the valuable one. Also in 98,99, and 2000 these can't happen on denver minted coins. Only Philly.

Both AU 50, cleaning these would be an exercise in futility.
