Is this the 1957 (58) variety? And how do you identify the variety? Thanks.

If the 2 digits in the star on the reverse are 58, it was minted in 1958. The date in the star in your picture is not clear enough to tell for sure.

I'm seeing 59, so it would be, um, the 1957 (59) variety.

I don't really get the point of listing those dates as "varieties" that way - it's an 1959 (or whatever) coin, period. (When you have an Espana '82 coin with 81 in the star - I have a few of those - do you list them as the 1980 '82 (81) variety?)
