He's some cabinets I did find.

www.richardscabinets.com

the 700 and 730 models are 675.00 without doors and 770.00 with doors. Expensive but very cool.

Thanks for sharing the information tonphil, it is appreciated.

I had similar cabinets made from cherry and was very close to the model #760 in appearance. I can tell you this, is the ones shown are of good workmanship and material, the prices shown aren't out of line at all. They would be well worth the price quoted.

Since they are listed as Richards cabinets,
When are they going to send them to me?

Another source of cabinets. Actually Map cabinets, I think the prices are pretty good. I might get one for my growing mineral collection, might used it for coins too.

Looks great but is it safe. I mean, If your house get broken into wouldn't it be almost the first thing they would go through?

Well Shatsi you have to make a decision whether to have your pride and joy readily accessible or whether you want to hide it a way from the world, including your self? I have coins in albums, in metal containers and some in a safe. A criminal given the proper amount of time will find them all and most safes, unless they are very large, can be taken intact right out of the home. Again, conditions must be right for the burglar as some are more bold than others. I like being able to see my collection when I want so putting things in a bank safe deposit box is not for me.

I agree with Terry,

I have my stuff in an old safe, not movable without handtruck and a few people. I find I can't enjoy my coins without getting a flashlite so I can see the numbers, going into the safe, finding what I want to look at etc, etc. A cabinet would be great not only for my use but to show off my collection to others. Also I would use it for the mineral collection that I am hesitant to enlarge because I can't display them.

Thanks for the fix Richard
