Hi guys I found this coin while metal detecting, I think it's medieval and foreign but I've never seen anything like it,im really hoping someone in here can help identify it.

It measures approximately 23mm

Looks old indeed but I don't think it's actually a coins, judging by the lack of inscription on the first side and the small bits on the other side. The inscription on the other side doesn't look like language to me either, perhaps a mere decoration. The way it's dotted on the fields looks to me like further decoration.

Of course I could be wrong, don't take only my word for it but I don't think it was used as a coin, perhaps as a token.

I assume you found this the UK. It is possible that it is an Iron age Celtic Bronze or copper alloy coin. With a quick search I cannot find this type, but that means little. It is also totally possible that it is a twentieth century fantasy.
I would not rule out the possibility of it being a coin until an expert sees it. Looks like research time!

This was found on a ploughed field so it wasn't very deep although the field has produced Saxon and medieval in the past,i think I may have to take it to the museum,i wondered if it could be a Jetton but I collect jettons and I've never seen one like this before, thanks for all your help
