I'm right here in the Arizona desert where I've been more or less continuously since the end of September. With luck, I won't have to go very many places this winter except for a few planned trips for Xmas and medical visits to the Prescott VA Med Center. It's time for me to stop moving around so much. I haven't been on the forum this weekend as much as I might otherwise have been since I'm going through a major arthritis attack and it hurts just to move, let alone work at the keyboard. I'm on now since a bunch of Prednisone and Codeine #4 pills have finally had some effect. But, off to bed shortly to get some drug-induced sleep. Fred

Fred, sorry to hear of your troubles. My dad, being a veteran goes to the VA also for all of his needs. Ironically, the reason we came west in the mid 50's was because of my mom's rheumatoid arthritis which she's had since she was 23. Ironic, because she doesn't really think the dry climate helped her all that much. But she has a very bad case. Hope you feel better! (for anyone giving away coins however, please be advised that a dry climate is much desired and sought after as a place for their long term storage. People living in such climates have rarely turned down any coins for the testing of this theory. I think gold stores especially well here)[:p]

I popped in multiple times when I got a chance this WE. Posted in a couple topics. But mainly I have been also working around the house cleaning the carpet and continuing to make repairs on my house from hurricane wilma.

Between Veteran's Day and getting advance tickets to Harry Potter, not a lot of time for coins.

Ah Miker, you a Potter fan are you? I was fortunate enough to get a full passbook of coins, well actually tokens, that were produced by a retailer in England when the first movie came out. Really quite a hot item at the time and some of the coins (tokens) were limited so it was very difficult to fill a set but managed with the help of a British friend to fill a few sets for the family. Don't know if they will ever be worth anything but I had NO problem selling off the extra Potter coins here in Indiana!

This arthritis attack was the first major episode since I've been in Arizona this season. The frequency and severity is much less here in the desert. My super-doses of the RXs knocked it way down so I can function, more or less this morning. All persons who plan to send their coins to me for safekeeping here in the desert's 5% humidity, be advised we have added the temperature control in our storage vault so that it is now a fully climate-controlled environment. Please submit your coins soon since we are already filling up and we're on a first-come, first-served basis.

Now that you mention it, it was kinda quiet here this weekend! I was shaking out my couch cushions looking for spare change to finance my next Euro purchase- kidding! Actually, when I wasn't here, I was Christmas shopping, cleaning house, and watching the Nascar race. What can I say, I lead an exciting life! Rachel [:p]

Getting ready to set up at the flea market this weekend, cleaning out all my collectible toys and other things I have accumulated. Cutting prices. off the next 2 days. so I should be able to get that done.
