Hi guys, I recently came across this coin and I looked on Coins & Canada and couldn't find this variety. Since it's not on Coins & Canada, I suspect that this is not a variety but I thought that I would ask the experts first!

My guess is an out of collar strike? But i'll leave it to the experts

Here's a photo of the obverse. I don't see anything unusual on this side. I also looked at the edge and it looks normal.

Possibly it was struck on a type 1 (un-rimmed) blank. Presuming the coin is full weight. Interesting coin.

I don't have a scale at the moment but I'll try to get one cheap maybe off Amazon. Any recommendations?

Is the edge reeded, or smooth? Is the coin attracted to a magnet?

The edge is reeded and nothing seems unusual around the edge. I will have to try the magnet test tonight.

if you look at about 3 o'clock you will see that the rim is slightly off-centre, meaning this was not seated properly in the die (MAD) I have seen these fairly often, not sure what you call them, but I toss them back.

, combined with a weak collar strike that tends to go hand-in-hand with slightly misaligned dies.
