Buffalo Nickle From Teller - Coin Community Forum

uncommoncents Valued Member United States 76 Posts	Posted 03/13/2008 8:02 pm I stopped by a local bank today to get some half dollars. The teller that I talked to turned out to be a coin collector as well and said he had already searched the half dollars. As a gesture of good will, he passed on a Buffalo nickel that he found at the bank. It is great to see that level of customer service! I will put the nickle into the collection I am starting for my daughter. It will be a good story for her! Report this Post to the Staff

For that reason, I would not make him the dump bank; but if you did, throw him a bone each time you bring your searched coins in. I guess if you work in a bank you see all types of stuff and it make you what to collect the odd stuff you take in. Report this Post to the Staff
