I stopped by a local bank today to get some half dollars. The teller that I talked to turned out to be a coin collector as well and said he had already searched the half dollars. As a gesture of good will, he passed on a Buffalo nickel that he found at the bank. It is great to see that level of customer service!

I will put the nickle into the collection I am starting for my daughter. It will be a good story for her!

Great story! He could have just let you waste your time with searched rolls. For that reason, I would not make him the dump bank; but if you did, throw him a bone each time you bring your searched coins in.

Nice story. I have noticed about 50% of the bank I get coins from the teller are also collector. I guess if you work in a bank you see all types of stuff and it make you what to collect the odd stuff you take in.
