Whitman 9116 - Jefferson Nickels 1938-Date

Kabiye_Lady Pillar of the Community United States 581 Posts	Posted 03/14/2008 1:16 pm I've got a change to buy a new Whitman 9116 album. It's at a good price, but I'm confused about what it can hold. Literature says it has 180 holes for 1938 - 1998, and that includes slots for S-mint proofs. Well, the math doesn't add up. Regular issue Jefferesons (P and D) I get as being 153 from 1938 to 1998. That would leave 27 slots for the S-proofs. But I count 31 from 1968-S to 1998-S Can anyone help out here? Oh, I am only counting one S-proof for 1979 and 1981. TIA Report this Post to the Staff

It runs from 1938~2000 with proofs; and the last two holes have a 2001-P & 2001-D (no 2001-S proof). I do not have Type II 1979 or 1981 either. For 1938 to 1998, you counted 153 without proofs? I count 142 (non-proof) coins during that span. Well, I bit and will be getting the album - probably towards the end of this week. I'll come back and give the details of what is in the 9116 in case someone needs the info later.
