The 2 ounce silver dollar is described as this:
One coin, four important anniversaries: The 140th anniversary of the completion of Canada's Library of Parliament in 1876; the 40th anniversary of the 1876-1976 silver proof dollar celebrating the Library of Parliament's centennial; the 10th anniversary of the conservation, rehabilitation, and upgrade of the Library of Parliament; and the 100th anniversary of the 1916 fire that gutted the Centre Block of Parliament Hill, sparing only the Library itself. Again, I must say that this is a piece of art.
p.s. the football coin is curved (convex) to resemble an inflated football, READY FOR PLAY! Take that Tom Brady. LOL
There is also a very impressive video of the grizzly sculpture coin. I must say that of all the releases I have seen over the years, the images of this release actually left me in awe. Yes...in awe!

That grizzly, in my opinion is not a coin, but just my thoughts

@john100 I do agree that the grizzly sculpture is not a coin; however there will be five in the series and I believe that this collection will certainly be a special one to display. I am looking forward to seeing what type of packaging they will offer with the subscription. Hopefully something like glass to encase the whole series. I am sitting on the fence for now on this one but I might jump in. I told my rep that I may have to sell my house!! LOL LOL

 Was this an official release from RCM?

Thanks commems. Yes you're right, the Proof finish on NCLT didn't happen in Canada until 1981.

Can't wait for the MC silver dollar. Hopefully I'll actually have a chance to buy one this time.

Quote: It was commonly assumed the MC Renewed Silver Dollar Series would feature previous circulation silver dollars. The last circulation Dollar was in 1967.
Not to suggest this one lacks appeal.. A little disappointed it is not a circulation silver dollar but the Library of Parliament renewed silver dollar looks very nice, very detailed with the gold plating.

@MoneyPenney
I love it. Beautiful piece of art. This will sell out real fast as only 1 allotted per person.

This is another beautiful coin. Reminds me a lot of the 1kg Coat of Arms coin from last month. Same style with the gold plating. This coin will be stunning in hand I'm sure. Glad I was able to order mine as this is going to be sold out extremely fast. I love the continuation of theme. This series will be phenomenal when complete.
Also with the increased mintage from last year I can see the value of last years moving ahead even more now. Not anywhere near as drastic but something like how the ladybug coin sells for significant premium over the other glass coins. Everyone wants first in series and with the lower mintage there will be collectors without full sets.

Quote: I love the continuation of theme. This series will be phenomenal when complete. This theme has no logical end. Just after any amount of years (and it will be exactly like this), the RCM will quit the series, or will move it to different format. But agree, all together in same box - it will be nice set of the coins. Now the questions: where from people loading these, if RCM set the limit of 1?

@silveroid I believe people have multiple accounts and that is how they load up. I was only allowed one and I am platinum prestige.
This coin looks very similar to last month's 50 cent coin or the big coin series. Very Nice.

Thank you, CCF and other forum members for posting the pictures and clarifications.
Usually, I do not care much about buildings / architecture on the coins (I would like to get the 1958-2018 SD), but this one, catching.....
