Don't believe the hype because sold out at the RCM means absolutely nothing. Most recently, the RCM was sold out of the 1967 Big Coin and the penny set quickly but other dealers had plenty of stock.

Agreed. I passed on this one. Nothing that I "need" to have.
Have to be selective for the next couple of months.
Looking forward to my last payment for that Coat of Arms Kilo in a couple of weeks.

I like the "premium SMLs", but felt the same.
Not the one, that I really need.

The micro-engraved is cool. Too bad they can only write a boring word of "150"!?
It would be better if they could engraved 150 pcs different designs of maple leafs OR draw a unique pattern using 150 pcs of same design maple leafs.

Mintage was very quickly increased from 1500 to 6000.

Such a high mintage would normally means you would be able to bid at lower than release price after 6 months from release date.

I'm still a little new to coin collecting but I was under the impression 10,000 mintage was the upper limits of low mintage....6000 mintage is still considered high?

Normally, it is already "limited" mintage.
But:
recent years trend to issue NCLT (not RCM, USM, RAM, RM, Perth), but other small mints with the mintages less than 1K (999 is popular number), so people, by buying this endless stuff already do not look at 5K-10K coins.

At the bottom line:
6000 - is limited, but not enough to keep the value.
Specifically for this coin, which labelled "bullion replica"
Rest in Peace

I'm betting that there will be a release in the near future for a 2 ounce SML at a small premium....nothing like our 400% markup from the mint for the 'proof' version.

Yes, it expected that RCM will issue bullion version of it, mintage let's say 50.000K

Btw, this current coin might be commissioned, so the same entity could commission the bullion.
