Susann aka mom had this 1928-S Peace dollar for sale and she noted it was cleaned. I seen a post about would steaming a coin word be called cleaning it here the pictures for before what the coin looked like before I steamed it look in the for sale section

to me it has not damaged it there was a stain on the eagle on the reverse its gone.
plus it did not take away the toning on it

It's half way down...and it's a link. It's the only one marked sold for right now.

Big difference.
No chemicals, no abrasives. Just water, steam.

Would this coin then be labled "cleaned" and lose all it's value?

I wouldn't consider it cleaning. In my mind I associate cleaning with the use of chemicals or scrubbing.
