Washingon (quarter) Jefferson (five cent) Roosevelt (dime)
all face left and the Lincoln cents all face Right?

Hmmm... I dunno. Maybe Lincoln had some big ugly wart on the other side of his face or something? Maybe Brenner was left-handed and the other designers were right-handed? Or vice-versa?

No, Catman was standing to his left eating one of those full pound hotdogs with some strawberries on the side. Now that would make anyone look the other direction. I STILL can't imagine a full pound of hotdog but I do thank the maker for keeping Catman on a strict diet!

I think it is probably designer preference in all cases. Here is an article I made up quite a while back discussing Lincoln facing to the right:

Another bit of Lincoln trivia is that he grew the beard because a little girl visting the White House told him that he should grow one. He really was a president for the little people.
