The vast majority of modern coins in my collection are in OGP rather than slabs. So that I do not have to constantly open the packages to review my coins, I store my modern coins (in their OGP capsules) in coin boxes/trays such as these: Lighthouse Coin TraysI store all of the empty original packaging material in a box in the closet.

For raw, all but dollars in 2x2's in 20 pocket pages. For raw dollars in 2.5 x 2.5 in 12 pocket pages. TPG in lighthouse 9 pocket pages. I can keep all of these in a single binder if I wish.

For my OGP Commemorative, I just put them in a tupperware. Although I find them beautiful,I rarely look at them, which is why I probably don't have too many.
For my proof and mint sets, I use the same boxes as Debrajc.
For my loose coins...it all depends. I like albums. I can live with folders for silver circulated sets. I also like to put them in saflips and then in little 2x2 boxes. And the square coin tubes. I love those. I get 50 dimes and I can put them in a tube. I get 20 half dollars and I can put them in a tube.
Fun stuff

I keep my gold commemoratives in their gov't capsules and put them in a safe deposit box. The OGP that the coin and capsules came in are retained for the day that I sell them.

I take the capsules out of the OGP and put them in the safe. They are organized there so can find what I want to look at and return what I am done with easily. I store the OGP in large plastic boxes on shelves in the garage (I used to keep them in the house but I live in a much smaller house now). I store raw coins in 2.5 x 2.5 stiff plastic flips, the kind that hold 2 coins each and fold so they don't fall out.

I usually remove my coins from the OGP and put them in 2x2's in their relevant albums. This makes it much easier to access the coins and view them. If the coins came in a clamshell or other boxed methods I usually keep the OGP.

For raw recent mint issues in OGP I just leave them in the OGP. Certified coins stay in their slabs of course. Raw collectible coins usually go in 2x2s. Bulk coins go in tubes or bags in the case of wheaties.
