Well, here's something I just kind of picked up out of pocket change and thought looked odd... Up near the top of the penny, in United States of America, the bottom halves of the words "States" and "of" are almost invisible, and can only be seen in the right light reflections. The first S is practically non-existent. Also, at the bottom on "One Cent" the top half of the "C" has the same effect, invisible unless reflecting the light. "us" is also just about missing in E Pluribus Unum.

Tough to tell from the pictures, but I have seen many LMC's with light to non-existent letters in these areas. Most times when you see this there are polish lines in those areas, I cannot see if there are any in the pics. If not polished , it could be Struck Through Grease or something. I would wait for the Lincoln experts to make the final call.

Might help to try and get a lighter picture of the coin, this one is a bit dark for making a determination.
