Hello, I just have a question. If I were to send coins (low value) to Canada, how much postage for a 2 oz envelope and do I have to do anything different? Also, how long would it take to arrive?

Thanks!

Hi -- I have sold a lot of items on ebay and have shipped many of them to international customers. The USPS website has a good tool for calculating mailing costs to just about anywhere. Go to https://postcalc.usps.com/ . I'm assuming because of the low weight (2 oz) you are only shipping a couple of coins. If so, you could put those in a letter size envelope. I would place the coins in a 2x2 flip and tape the flip(s) to a paper or index card so they don't slide around in the envelope. Cost to mail a 2 oz envelope containing something rigid to Canada is $1.36. I have purchased a lot of coins from Canadian dealers and that's how I usually receive them in the mail. Also, you may have to fill out a customs form which is simple and gets attached to the envelope. These are available at the post office (or maybe online).

Hope this helps.

Also, regarding how long it would take, I would estimate at least a week. Unless you are sending to some remote town in the Canadian north then I would estimate it would take longer. When I purchase items from Canadian dealers it usually takes a week to 10 days from the time they mail it to the time I receive it.
