The Royal Mint - For the first time the definitive circulating coins of the year are presented in 22 carat gold, struck to Proof standard to enhance every detail of the designs. The 2017 Annual Sets are the first to include the new 12-sided £1 coin and are available before the coin enters circulation in March 2017. This is the first opportunity to own a 12-sided £1 coin struck in precious metal.

The coins, from the 1p to the 50p, feature Matthew Dent's shield of the Royal Arms 'picture-puzzle' design, while the £2 coin features Antony Dufort's Britannia. The circulating coins are united with the five commemorative coins of the year marking the key moments and anniversaries of 2017.
