I think this coin is from an Arab country - some of the inscriptions look like Arabic and I see a crescent moon and star on it - but I would like to know more!

I'm hoping someone recognizes it because it would take a lot of googling to figure out

I searched "1997-1418 Arab coin" and the Tunisia 1 Dinar was the very first result so...what BigSilver said.

Google can be very efficient (not always) with even kind of "vague" search terms.

Oops, I'm busted! I have to confess, I didn't even try to google
...and I should have been able to guess the country, because it's one my family has visited, which would explain why it was laying around our house
