Someone with a very large coin collection gave me this as a gift, on one side it clearly says iditarod but on the back it looks different from the iditarod-specific coins ive found.

A beautiful design. Lists as containing 1 ounce of silver. Probably produced as a silver round to be sold as such. There is no date listed so it wasn't a prize in the race, more likely that this sold as a souvenir, too.

In any event the very least it is worth is the melt value of the silver, however this design, from Alaska, would almost certainly have value above melt only.

Several similar sold on ebay at $27-$30.
