I wanted to give an update on the status of this coin. I consigned it with Heritage Auctions and it will be sold at the CSNS US Coin Signature Auction in Schaumburg, IL. The coin is listed now on the Heritage auction site and on line bidding will begin this coming Friday with the live auction taking place around May 2. I would like to say thanks again to all of you who helped me and gave me information about this coin. I have found there are a lot of good folks who hang out on here and I do appreciate you.   |

I appreciate all the kinds words and I know you mean it. I wanted to keep you updated because you were such a big help. Druu, my bank still gets me 4 boxes a week and I have been pretty much keeping my nose in them, looking for the next good one. I watch the forum regularly, but in most cases I don't know enough to comment when folks ask questions, only on those who find a keeper, then I'll chime in. I have 5 or 6 rolls that I have put together so far but I need a scope to see if there is anything to them or not, as my eyes are not as good as they use to be. Getting one of those will probably be my next project. Thanks again to all of you. |

Wow! Only just saw this thread. Incredible find! I'm super excited for you, Joe. So you found this coin roll hunting recently? Or was this a discovery in coins you'd had lying around for years? It's really cool of you to give back to some folks in need. Congratulations on such a fantastic find!
