A friend of mine found this coin recently in the UK. My initial thoughts are that it's Indian, but I'm certainly not sure. Any pointers would be most welcome.

I would agree that it is Indian. We have a number of experts in that field who may give you more precise details.

I am not an expert, but I think this is the correct rotation:
Found-On-A-Frosty-Morning
I think at the bottom there is the 'zarb' or zarb-i) which means 'struck' or 'struck at' (green)
There are also some numbers (red).

Hi there, it is in Arabic not Indian but I can't make out what it means. the first pic is upside down as Petrus stated and the obverse is as he stated meaning struck and the numbers 029. sorry I couldn't help you any further
