1921 Morgan Half Strike Through? - Coin Community Forum

Kimberly R Bischoff New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 01/01/2017 11:08 pm I have looked all over and don't see any documentation on any mint errors on the 1921 Morgan half dollar however, looking at the observe the reverse I can see where the line through left wing creates the line in the eye on the observe. I am also extremely interested in the depth of ear on the observe. And finally, looking closely at the wreath, there appears to be a break of some type directly below the eagles claws. There is no mintmark, and the detail is very clear. Any suggestions as to what I have here? Report this Post to the Staff

Yes, I was referring to the hole in the wreath oldmike. The other question I had was, and maybe this is the indexing thing, is the line by the eye and ear hole (apologies) are so deep in comparison to everything else, is that normal? As far as the wreath - on the bow itself is an M for the designer Morgan, If you are seeing an indent or what we refer to as incuse marking on the coin then it may have taken a hit from another coin in that area.
