I looked at this penny and wondering if this is an error. Is this a true error?

A picture of the full coin, obverse & reverse, would help, in part to rule out a counterfeit. (There are some experts on that topic on this forum that might be able to tell from a good photo.)

I really don't think anyone would fake this common coin.
It looks like the dot on the V and B are not there . Error or a Greaser ?

Value wise, regardless of if this had a tiny bit of Grease Fill, or simple wear, or slightly light strike, none of those would change the value.

Ah, good point.

I think I've been reading the ebay Counterfeit thread too much ... seeing a counterfeit around every corner.
