Hello everyone, I'm thinking about changing my collection a bit and starting to collect some 1863 graded confederate currency. Becoming a history buff in my old age and I believe the 1863 series in VF-XF would be a good place to start. like the looks and they are easy to get and affordable at that...What say you?

I say go for it. I have a T-60 and T-62 from 1863. Please post pictures of any new notes you purchase!

I have no idea on how to pick fakes from authentic with these.
Some philatelic type sleuthing skills needed.

I have the same problem with Australian States (pre 1901 Federation) postage stamps, issued during the 1850's and 60's ("Sydney View"), which has discouraged me from collecting what is a really fascinating series.
