What do you guys think about these coins?

I live in South Korea and want to pick some up to add to my stack.

They have a bit of a premium compared to generic rounds at provident but look pretty good I think...

They also have some unusual gold bars and things here

Interesting designs. I think they would be more collectable if they were government issued.

There doesn't appear to be a denomination on them, so they're not really coins. They may as well be generic rounds from that perspective, but they do look nicer than some others I've seen -- at least the tiger design. The other side of the piece is pretty plain and the gold is especially flat.

But if you like them and the premium isn't too high, that's what counts.

I think the Save the Korean Tiger round is a really nice design. I will probably start there. I might put some up on ebay. When I do I will update the thread

I live in Korea as well! Its entirely up to you, but I personally wouldn't buy anything thats not made by Hwadong/Poongsan or the mint. Did you look into the PyeoNGChang Olympic commem sets?

Gold and silver commem coins sell for ridiculous prices, even past double or triple the material cost... like the #8361;5,000,000 PyeoNGChang set that I bought. :)
