Hello.

Today I made a stop at my local coin shop with nothing particular in mind when I spotted this round.

The coin itself is quite attractive, love the overall design but know almost nothing about it except that Fryderyk Chopin was a famous Polish Composer.

My question is as follows. Is this an official Polish Government mint round or is this a third party mint? My reason for asking is I'd like to display it with other worldwide government rounds. Does it deserve a place on display with the Silver Eagle, Panda, Silver Maple, Britannia, etc or does it belong with my generic round stack.

Forgive me as I'm not as knowledgeable as so many here. I paid $19.25 for it which was an ok deal for such an attractive piece.

These were actual coins. The mintage was 10 thousand. Issued in 1991 (with 1990 date).

Compare your specimen with:

These don't have the Warsaw mintmark, I have found they were produced by "Solidarity Mint, Fullerton, CA".

Excellent. Thank you very much.

Again, forgive the awkward form in my question. I'm still very new to this and learning. :)

I really love the design. Very attractive coin!

I love the high value "100000 Zlote" value on the obverse. That's interesting in itself.
