Need Help Identifying Discrepancies On 1983 Penny.

jc_hicks New Member United States 34 Posts	Posted 01/14/2017 5:57 pm Hello, all. I came across this 1983 penny with some marks above the L in Liberty. It looks like an A. I'm aware of the 1983 double die; however would this fall in that category. Also, there appears to be a cavity under the steps. I'm picking up scales and a better way to take pictures and examine coins tomorrow. I don't think this particular one is a copper, but I have a 1989-D with some sort of doubling, and it seems to be a little heavier. Report this Post to the Staff
