Ok, I think that's enough Real/real jokes; it's making it confusing for me.

The OP's coin is supposed to be a 1792 Spanish Colonial 8 Escudos (or Doubloon) which should be a large
gold coin. The Santiago mint is known mostly for the gold Escudos. The OP's coin is obviously not gold. I found a connection to Buster Brown promotional tokens of the 1960s and 70s but no attributable source. These, apparently, we're made of plated pewter which would fit the looks of the OP's coin more appropriately.
The design elements of the (genuine) NGC coin are certainly within the capabilities of late 18th-century mints. If it is genuine, then it should weight approx. 27 grams and be approx. 37 mm on diameter.
Beyond that, I can keep posting images of different genuine examples from different mints, but I think there's already enough information here to determine its authenticity.
Edit: Maybe I'm too interested in this topic but a genuine example is worth sooooo much more than a fake (if worth anything at all) that I could not ignore it.
