I went to a couple of pocket parks for lunch today and had awesome finds.

Below are pictures of the finds. 15 Quarters, 3 Nickels, 7 Dimes, * Pre '82 Pennies, 39 Post '82 Pennies, and the coin on the left is foreign and I know nothing about it. I posted close-ups so if you know what it is please let me know.

I clean them with vinegar and salt for a few seconds, and them wash them off with soap and water. This is the first thing I do when I get home from searching.

Great finds! Do you ever get off your knees? I live in a town of about 40,000 and t5e schools and parks get hammered! It would take days to find that many coins.

My back is starting to hurt from bending over. Most of this was pulled out of the bark in the playgrounds so atleast the digging wasn't bad.

I live in a town of about 100,000, and I think that there just aren't that many people out here with detectors. I always go to the fair grounds and pull this much out every time in about 2 hours. I just try to remember where all the rides were, and then search those areas the hardest. Yesterday I foud 4 quarters and 5 dimes within 2 feet of each other. I didn't even have to stand up. So far this year I have pulled over $40.00 out of the fair gounds. The sad thing is, I am depleteing the resources. I am going to have to start getting more creative on where I search.
