I come across this coin and to be honest I don't know if it's a S or D MM. I would like your thoughts on this coin. Thanks in advance!

I say S. I think I see the serifs on the top right and lower left. It does look kind of blobby. Not exactly like the RMM, but close? http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...pe=mm&page=0

Correct, it is a San Francisco issue. If the bottom loop of the S was obliterated like the top loop, it would probably be undeterminable.

1974 was the last year that S mint marks appeared on business strike cents.
The San Fransisco mint has produced some business strikes since then, but like West Point, they never put a mint mark on them.
Rest in Peace

Pretty sure it's an S that had a bad day or a bad life .
the S MM were on Lincoln business strikes from 1968 to 1974 .
