Omano 3344 with camera adapter and Sony CyberShot 5.1 Meg Pixels.

Looks to me like the color is pretty accurate and good resolution. Details seem dead on. the pic of the whole coin is focused on the top of Lincoln and the date with the rest a little fuzzy. Need to figure out how to fix that. Already, though, it is a heck of a lot better than the scanner.

Any thoughts or help will be greatly appreciated.

Jim

1746 is good.
1747 doesn't do much for me, but it still shows the detail.
1748 is generally very good. On my laptop, the coin's right rim seems fuzzy, otherwise, that is a very nice picture. I trust that the color is good.

As you mentioned, focus might be a bit off since the cent's fields do appear a bit less sharp than the devices, but that's picking nits, as they say. If you can get the right edge in better focus, you're good to go.

Hunter, the color is dead on. Have not tried silver and gold yet but thus so far it looks great from getting the coin tone and color.

Thx, Jim
Rest in Peace

Good to know the color is correct. That isn't usually too hard to correct, but it is something new photographers tend to overlook or be more accepting of. (What I'm trying to say, when you first take pics of coins, you tend to worry a lot more about focus and getting a good view of the details, and tend to be more nonchalant about the color. At least in my experience. YMMV)
