You can learn about the large and small date Lincoln Cent varieties on this page: http://www.lincolncentsonline.com/l...lldates.html The doubling you see is commonly referred to as MD (Mechanical/Machine Doubling). It is not caused from a double image on the die, but happens during the strike. These didn't used to have a premium, but in recent years, some collectors have started collecting them.
