1955 Lincoln Maybe DD? Date Is Blurry

Coconice Valued Member United States 54 Posts	Posted 02/13/2017 10:25 pm I'm always doubtful when I think I have a good one, so please take a look at this. I've never given the 1955 DD a close look before. Both 5s in the date are gummed up and so is the 9. I've attached a photo, a date close up, and a picture of the reverse just for fun. Do I have a neat penny? EDIT: I do get that this is an S. I've just looked at a lot of Google Images, and the numbers in my date look different. I can't quite tell but I might see a die crack and/or die chip on the right wheat stalk on the reverse.
