Just in case the $55 starting bid doesn't give it away, it's 100% fake, key diagnostics are the tall, skinny date numbers, small stars and broken L in liberty. This one has been artificially "bulk handled" to make it look less fake, unsuccessfully. Real 1811: No no site fake:

Might be an innocent mistake, hope seller takes it down.

I sent a message to the seller, myself. I suggested that, considering his 100% feedback, he would do well to confirm suspicions of this being a fake before completing a sale.
The listing is now down.

Date is spaced too wide and the reverse doesn't match either of the two varieties of 1811, but it DOES match the fake from the no no site that paralyse posted.

Another initial tip-off is that the piece was too nice. Really nice 1811 Half Cents are tough to find. When you do spot them, you need to look very closely because there could be a big problem. This 1811 C-1 with the four star break was in my collection during my Half Cent days. The picture was made from a slide in the days before digital cameras. I sold this piece years ago.
