i have been collecting for about 6 months and I have been collecting everything that I like so far without collecting one single area though I do like notes from the middle east and notes with the young queen elizabeth portrait on them so I was wondering what does everyone else collect

I'm also new to collecting notes. I'm starting to build a nice collecion with notes from all over the world. I am also consentrating on two type of notes, Germany and Austrian Notgeld notes and Philippine WWII Emergency Currency. The Notgeld notes are very colorful with hundreds of different designs. On the other hand the Philippine notes are very plain, but show the struggle that that country went through during the war.

Mainly I collect Canadian notes. I'm mostly only after an example of each denomination (except $1000) for every series since 1937. But I'll hang onto interesting varieties like radars or in a few cases consecutive serial #s. I also started collecting foreign since friends and family started giving me their leftovers when they returned from vacations.
There's a link to my collection in my sig if you wanted to look.

Well I mainly collect Australian pre-decimal and decimal banknotes.

Also I have a small amount from USA (including Confederate), Egypt and Iraq.

I am starting to collect Chinese (from my interest in WW2 China), particularly Central Bank of China and any banknotes from Taiwan, post 1949.

I've recently become interested in polymer notes (plastic money).
You can view them in the link 'Mila_cent's CC Gallery' in my signature line.

G'day
Australian notes - I've go all decimal types; and 1954+ pre-decimals. My goal is to get a complete set of ten-pound/$20, but pre-1954 is VERY expensive, even in lower grades.
notes with a portrait of QE2 - anywhere - anytime. I read somewhere that the "complete" set runs to 900 notes.

I have a variety of foreign stuff just because of the "prettiness" factor, but I mainly try to get a complete US Type set of Silver Certificates, plus a handful of the large size notes.

I collect the notes (including local issues and "BON" emergency coupons) from the Balkan regions, specifically Yugoslavia and the states that were once part of Yugo. (Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia) (and Kosovo if they ever get full recognition of independence and start issuing notes). This collection was a natural expansion of my coin collection. I also collect stamps from the region, as well as the occasional other ephemera/collectible pieces.
