I am new at this and would like to know what you keep and what you throw back as far as keeping all copper regardless of error or not or is their a certain date you you yourself keep all coins from that date back . I get a lot of pre 82 lincolns and don't know whether or not to hang onto them for copper value or only hang on to the good coins . I also keep everything regardless of condition from 1959 back. I know this could be a very broad question. But I'm mainly asking about date as far as copper value versus face . I appreciate all insight into this dilemma ! I say keep all wheats, and all UNC coins from 1969 and earlier. Also keep 2009s and search for errors. Report this Post to the Staff

By the time your allowed to send them to the smelters there will be so many of them that if your lucky you might get slightly over face for them .
